Interreligious Dialogue

Along the spiritual journey of Rev. Furukawa, he involved his encounter of Pure Land Buddhism (Nembutsu) with Zen, and it was further developed into the encounter between Buddhism with Christianity. Therefore, this temple is a place for Eastern and Western religious exchange and interreligious dialogue.

We believe that our campaign with Sr. Helen Prejean, for example, has great significance since it has taken interreligious dialogue along the spiritual road to begin a new movement towards working together, transcending our respective faiths in tackling specific social problems.
